Dr. David Blanchard
Dr. Blanchard was born and raised in Wisconsin, though he has spent some time living in Colorado and Michigan over the years. As a child, he struggled with his own set of dental problems that later caused deep insecurities and negative experiences in school. His dentist and orthodontist became heroes to the young David Blanchard, as they helped him fix his oral health issues and gave him the gift of a truly confident smile. Their charisma and compassion inspired him to follow in their footsteps and enter the healthcare field himself.
When Dr. Blanchard began work on his B.S. in Medical Microbiology and Immunology and certificate degree in Business Administration at University of Wisconsin-Madison, it was with the intent to become a physician like his father and brother. However, as the MCAT entrance exam grew nearer, a conversation with his former hockey coach, (who also happened to be a dentist) led him to consider dentistry as a career. It wasn’t long before he switched gears and headed to University of Michigan School of Dentistry, where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery.
Dr. Blanchard always wanted to start his own practice so he could care for patients the way he sees fit, rather than trying to please a corporate office. At Riverside Family Dental, he treats every patient like a member of his own family, taking the time to get to know everyone and building meaningful relationships that will last a lifetime.
When he’s not in the office, you can find him enjoying the great outdoors, running, fishing, hunting, and biking, or spending time with his wife, Alex, daughter, Gabi, and their two dogs, Maki and Walter.
Full arch dental implants provide patients with brand new teeth by utilizing a permanent, titanium-reinforced bridge that can be secured with four to six dental implants. This allows us the flexibility to strategically place the implants in the areas in which the bone is most dense, reducing our need for bone grafting and other supporting treatments. Please keep in mind that we can help people in nearly any situation because of our team approach to Full Mouth Implant Cases.
